π€ Project-Based EFL Unit: Interview Skills Workshop
Level: High Intermediate to Advanced EFL learners
Length: 4 sessions (90–120 minutes each)
Project Goal: Build real-world communication confidence by preparing resumes, practicing interviews, and performing mock interviews in English (and optionally in Korean).

π️ Day 1 – Interview Awareness & Attitudes
π― Objectives:

Learn and practice effective interview questions

Recognize how attitude and demeanor affect interviews
π§ Activities:
π Welcome & Icebreaker: "Hire the Prof"
→ Each student writes 3 interview questions to ask a “new professor.” Practice tone and clarity.
π Attitude Exploration Roleplay:
→ Create 3 different "attitudes" (e.g., nervous, confident, bored).
→ Interview the teacher who will act out one of the attitudes.
→ Discuss: What impact did the attitude have on the interview?

How can you manage nervousness or anxiety?
π Homework:
Choose one job ad from the 5 options and highlight key words, skills, and qualifications.
π️ Day 2 – Building Confidence & Presence

Understand power, posture, and self-confidence

Practice real strategies to boost confidence

π Article Reading:
Read about body language and confidence from a social psychologist.
→ Do you think these ideas apply in South Korea?
→ In small groups, share your assigned paragraph and give your opinion.

→ Write 3 sincere compliments (to yourself or others)
→ Read them aloud. How does it feel to give/receive a compliment?

π️ Day 3 – Interview Practice & Roleplay
π― Objectives:

Practice both roles: interviewer and interviewee

Give and receive feedback on communication skills

✍️ Write 5 Interview Questions based on your job ad
π Role Play Interviews (2 rounds):

Round 1: You are the job seeker

Round 2: You are the interviewer
π Peer Feedback:
→ Focus on: eye contact, tone, fluency, confidence, clarity
→ What did your partner do well? What could be improved?
π Homework:
Submit your final resume and cover letter in both English and Korean by Thursday 10am.
π️ Day 4 – Mock Interviews: Final Project Day!

→ Dress appropriately
