Leadership & professional growth

As chapter president, I took on each event not just as an organizer but as a learner — using the themes of our workshops and SIG collaborations as a framework for my own professional development. From exploring ELT applications of AI to facilitating discussions on peace literature and reflective practice, each topic deepened my understanding of the broader field.

The near-monthly SIG outreach program was a deliberate strategy to connect our regional chapter to the national KOTESOL community, ensuring Gwangju-Jeonnam members had access to diverse perspectives and professional networks beyond our local setting.
